We work in Partnership with local authorities, schools, social care, youth offending teams, health professionals and other support agencies; to provide a range of services.
We are a programme of The Children's Society supporting children, young people and families in Essex whose lives are affected by drugs or alcohol.
We help young people in crisis, working with them in their communities, and offer a range of structured interventions including individual support and recovery plans, and groupwork.
"EYPDAS has basically taken me off the streets, away from all the criminals, drug users and abusers and given me time to reflect on what I have done in my life and what I want in life. And that is to help other young people."
Recovery Pathways Group (RPG)
This group is designed specifically for service users in the 18-24 age bracket. This is a non drug specific session which incorporates 4 main elements: Relapse Prevention, Self-Care, Managing Change and Harm Reduction. This provides a balanced session and the opportunity for the attendees to participate as much or little as they wish, reflect and gain peer support. There is also practical support to reduce and plan for the future, gain an understanding of their current substance use and how it might be having a negative effect on their life/aspirations, signposting to other support services and linking to other agencies.
